Priority Boarding (though a published benefit for elite members) does not exist at any Malaysian airport. As far as the majority of ground staff is concerned, Priority Boarding only apply to those travelling with small children, not elite members and I have even been prevented from boarding after showing my card. Things are a little better at foreign airports, especially where the ground staff are non-MH staff.

And if you check-in your luggage at KUL, your Priority Luggage tag is almost certain to be removed by the baggage handlers there if your destination tag is coded EYCL. Again, no such problem if you check-in at foreign airports.

Another joke about Enrich is that they always advertise "free upgrade" as a benefit. What they actually meant is using miles to upgrade, but how can it be "free" when you have to use miles ? Ever since Idris Jala joined the airline (thank god he has since left), operational upgrade has been almost non-existent. I was once "upgraded" by a regional manager (as part of service recovery), only to be told later they had to withdraw the upgrade after they discovered the fare I paid was too low.

I have since come to the conclusion that MH is only good for cheap fares (and sometimes cheap redemption). If you want recognition, go "invest" in one of those "Dato" or "Tan Sri" title which will stretch your Ringgit further than any Gold or Platinum status with Enrich. An Inflight Supervisor once told me he had no idea on the number of elite members onboard, but he proudly declared the number of "Dato's" on his flight !
