Hi,

I am writing this on behalf of my dad who flew in the Press machine from Andrews Airforce Base ( Washington DC ) To OSL in a Chartered 767-300 ( new config), UA metal.

"check in" consists of two agents that come to you after you've entered the private airport, give you your tickets and take your passports, which you will get back when you arrive in Oslo. Very long security for everyone and then immediately Boarding. I was pre assigned an Exit row seat, but as I arrived as one of the first in the aircraft, a FA approached me and gave me a seat in Business, a forward facing. After all "passengers" arrived, EVERYONE ( including coach) got Warm nuts in a glass bowl, and a First class amenity kit.
Service was wonderful and the food was Business class in all the classes as all the journalitst paid the same for the ticket ( 3000$ ). The FA's were relaxed about all those rules, but provided excellent service to each and everyone. I did enjoy the map feature on the BIG screen, but soon after food service, settled my Seat to 180 Degrees flat, and it was wonderful. We were given the blue Business class blankets plus a white nice pillow.
The flight was quite uneventful, but just after takeoff the FA's walked by with a check list where one could fill his FF number in, quite funny?
