Newbie question: FCT access with LH flight award tickets from US Airways FF program?
Hello everyone,
please don't punch me for a newbie question.
I tried to read through all FAQs and posts that could answer my question, but I did not find a definite answer.
When I book an award ticket in F class, for an LH operated flight, with an LH flight number, via the US Airways Dividend Miles frequent flyer program, will I be able to use the FCT in Frankfurt?
I read, that everyone with a valid ticket for F class in an LH-metal flight should have access to the FCT in Frankfurt. So flying out of Frankfurt, I would have access to it?
Concretely, it is about the Orlando to Frankfurt (plus return) LH connection in F.
Then I read, the check-in must take place with Lufthansa, if f.e. the check-in took place at United, one is not able to enter the FCT.
So with those tickets for an LH flight, operated on LH metal, will I be able to enter the FCT, or will they deny access, because it's an award ticket originating from (booked by) US Airways? Or will they make problems because it's not a paid flight, but an award flight?
Where do I have to check in? Do I have the chance to check in, on the Lufthansa website, before the flight? Or do I have to check in in person at the First Class Check-in in Frankfurt, in order to have access?
Thank you very much, in case you are able to answer those questions.
Best regards,
