Generally speaking, I don't think of Frontier as a "discount airline". Their fares are generally as high, if not higher, than every other airlines. To get an idea of what they would be charging to/from FAI though, I looked at fares from FAI to DFW on 7/12 and return on 7/19. $288.20 each way. Not bad compared to Alaska's $480 each way fare. Perhaps those in FAI will reap the benefits of a little fare war this summer?
