Correct. Short-haul flights during the day, long-haul flights at night and in the morning (for now). This is actually pretty good timing for Europe, Southeast Asia and the US West Coast. Not so much for the US East Coast, unfortunately.

Depends. Many big hubs like ICN and DXB do extensive connecting traffic in the wee hours of the night. On the other hand, HND has the advantages of extensive feed within Japan (particularly useful given the paucity of international flights elsewhere in the country) and access to center-city airports in Seoul and Shanghai, which would make it more attractive for a sizable set of business travelers.
