Won't there also be restrictions on when long-haul flights can operate at HND? I swear I heard that the long-haul flights could only operate during the late night-early morning hours. Does anyone know if that applies to take-offs and landings, or just take-offs? Or does it/will it actually apply at all? If it applies to both, would HND really be able to replace NRT as a hub (doubtful it could anyway, with only 10 gates)? Would time restrictions even possibly preclude HND from overtaking NRT as a preferred international gateway?

I believe that the primary intent of the international terminal is to service short-haul international, not long-haul. Now, this may hurt the O/D traffic on some of the intra-Asia routes ex-NRT, but I believe DL has previously said that such traffic is pretty minimal anyway.
