Quite common for BA to do that.

I was called Mrs HIDDY on a GRU-EZE sector a couple of years ago. I had changed seats with the wife and when the CAD - who had got on at GRU came round to introduce herself she never looked up till after reading the name off the manifest.
I do think she meant to do it as a joke and just used it as an ice breaker. She was a rather nice dusty blonde and lived not far from where I was born in the south side of Glasgow. We chatted for a while and got on famously.....I really enjoyed that sector and still remember her well.......one of BAs finest.
So much younger than PUCCI GALORE so I knew it wasn't that old bird.
