Yes, we do!

Repetition is necessary on the oft chance that someone at DL actually looks at postings here. They say they do, but . . .

Because of the requirement that one review every leg for correct class of service booked on an award before "buying" the ticket, failing to do so may result in OP's (and my lament). You say, so what if you are in coach when you paid for first/business? Please follow the logic from the customer's side.

1. Do most people understand the meaning of "X", "W", "I" and "U" in terms of class of service? Absolutely not. They buy an upgraded cabin offered and get something different. This is not fine. It is acceptable when one knows that they are buying a mixed class of service ticket in advance, not after the fact.

2. Once the "mistake" (in the customer's mind) ticket is bought it cannot be changed without paying a change fee unless one is a Platinum who can use the extremely liberal (sarcasm intended) 2 free changes. Yes, sometime next year, those of us who will be uber-special Diamonds will be exempt from these fees. Certainly, I for one cannot wait. If I was a pragmatist, the rest of you can deal with it since I am now annointed as special.

3. To exacerbate the situation, wait-listing for the class of service purchased is not allowed. Yes, I understand that in the "us vs. you" mentality of this board it been this way for the DL loyalists for quite some time. Yes, I can also call multiple times a day until I find award inventory in the correct cabin wasting valuable resources. My time is not worth much these days so why not? The agent has lots of time to spend with me as we go through multiple iterations of available award space. Of course this requires the intervention of multiple levels of supervision to finally approve the change. That time wasting activity is the reason that wait-listing was invented.

If you are not one of the "annointed" than you pay a telephone fee and a change fee.

Can one spell "Loyalty"? I can "revenue enhancement", "inefficiency" and "frustration".

I for one will enjoy my SQ first class experience next month including the non-wait-listed, not changeable coach leg from SLC-LAX next month. How should I dress for the experience?

Hopefully someone at DL loyalty marketing will stumble across this thread.
