I was looking at the suites for a future stay in which I need to hold a couple of small (3-4 people) meetings in my room. What I gather is that the only real major difference between the Astor and the Metropolitan suites is the fact that the Astor suites do not have a dinning table. Is this correct? Is the seating area in the Astor suite just the sectional and would this work for a meeting with just a couple of people? Price difference between the two suite types is huge...over $600 per night. I'm a SPG Plat. member but I need the suite so I am planning on booking one to guarantee at least the Astor and then hope for an upgrade to the Metropolitan.
I also looked at the W SF and the Fantastic Suites there could be another alternative. Has anyone stayed in one of those and if so how do they compare to the St. Regis suites? W Fantastic Suite is actually $60 more expensive per night than the St. Regis Astor.
Thanks in advance for any replies!
