The fear of getting speeding tickets is preposterous. I have had EZ-Pass since the very beginning of its existence and routinely drive 80 mph on I-95, the NJ Turnpike, and the NY Thruway. If they were going to get anyone, they'd get me. They don't.
For the people afraid of computer tracking, think of it this way: It's not a ticket, it's an alibi

. Anyway, they are just tracking where the tag goes. Nobody knows (except possibly through photos), who the driver is. It could be your spouse, your kid, a friend, or the tag could even be in another vehicle.
The time savings a big win. I had tags on systems that I drove through just once or twice a year because I'd rather spend the fifteen or thirty minutes on the beach instead of in a line waiting for the beach. And, for business, I'm always running short on time and having a tag reduces the risk of travel delays.
