Have you called AA and just asked them what's up? You'll get a U.S. call center. Looking at the morning flights, they range from Y0-Y3 so they are very full. You might have better options when last minute upgrades start clearing and coach seats open up. Several of the morning flights show F7 which is the maximum they'll list on line, so there should be some seat movement in the hours ahead. AA is clearing a lot more domestic upgrades closer to departure time.
