I recently tried booking a JL flight with BA miles for NRT-LAX. With BA, have to go through LHR and cost 48K miles + $450 (one way). With JL the cost is 25K miles and $120.

This means that BA is collecting the YQ that JL charges for the route ($72). since that fee is not passed on to JL anyway.
