In a way that is not surprising because the S90 just came out and very few people have accumulated any experience with it, while LX3 has been around for quite a while. By the same token, there is a good chance that LX3 may get updated next year. Of course, all cameras get updated, so that is never a good reason to wait, but I'd like to see if they do anything to the zoom rage.

There are other good recent releases from Sony, Ricoh and Fuji too.
