As a fellow transplant to YYZ I can understand your pain with the "new" DL. I have also status matched to CO and will be flying CO/UA/AC exclusively in the new year (after my previously booked return from GIG on DL) for a number of reasons. For me personally, E+ on UA is still a heck of a lot better than the tiny planes DL is flying out of YYZ now.

Regarding the parking situation I had taken the link train many times prior to completion of the new Viscount Parking Garage and it worked great. Frequency seemed to be every 10 minutes or so and for Terminal 3 flying it is convenient as that is the first stop. Also the rates are much better at the discount lot/garage, here is the link to the GTAA site for reference:
