I need a place to stay in Makati for 1 night in January. The Peninsula has a rate of about $120 (before taxes) and the Shangri-la is going for about $184 (before taxes).

These are both rates for the standard rooms., i.e., no breakfast or club access.

Anyone have any thoughts as to whether the premium rate is worth it over at the Shangri-la?
