Just realized in my years of taking CX I've never seen a Chinese pilot, but all the First Officers seem to be Chinese now. Is it just a matter of experience and time (they are not ready for the promotion yet), or is it CX policy to only hire foreign pilots?
My cousin is a local HK Chinese "Captain" with CX. Yes "Captain" not "First Officer" and he has certainly paid his dues of 10+ years before being promoted to that ranking several years ago.
