You're not probably not hearing the announcement as often because a) no one needs another credit card and b) hardly anyone is getting approved. I passed out at least 100 apps in 2009 and a grand total of 5 were approved. I know this because so far this year I've only received a grand total of five 'brownie points'. It's not worth the hassle or the aggrevation we know it causes frequent flyers. BTW, don't hesitate to complain to Customer Care the next time a FA drones on and on about the visa card...we hate listening to them just as much as you do. Short and sweet is one thing but the long, hard sell is so annoying and is not company-sanctioned.
