Yes, I took this walkway the other day while connecting from TLS to JFK. It is indeed very easy and quick (even with the immigration checkpoint to "leave France" between 2F1 and 2F2, which won't be required coming from SOF).

However, if the connecting flight is leaving from the main part of 2E, and not satellite S3, then the shuttle bus may be the only option to avoid going through immigration twice.
