for every idiot that complains of not having blankets on board, just have a FA tell the pax the story of how many germs reside on those things and where those blankets have been. After hearing those stories, i'm sure the idiot will thank the FA's for not giving out blankets!
I flew LAX - DFW on a 767 recently. Really loved in when a Y PAX grabbed the pillow and blanket (still in its plastic bag) from an F seat and ran back to his coach seat with his plunder in hand. If they ever got rid of those red blankets and pillows, there would be a huge outcry from the masses. Problem is many of those who use the blankets and pillows either don't know or care about the alleged "germ" issues.
