I don't think the SXM market and similar ones like STT are big markets for Delta for travelers coming from the West Coast. The flights typically leave in the morning from ATL and cater more for passengers from the East and markets with early am flights close by that make it to ATL in time. You might want to give American Airlines a try for this one.
