Just switched my Amex Investment Management Account from the free Gold card to the $225 Platinum to take advantage of the Cruise Privledges for a cruise we're taking next summer.

Amex Brokerage cheerfully upgraded the account, the cards arrived today, and the account number is exactly the same! The 4 digit number above the account is differmt, and the expiration dates are differnt, but the account isn't.

This is the first time I've had a new amex card issued with the same number.

Weird huh?
