Fare condition during phoen reservation do not match to ticket

Hi all,
I just had another bad experience with KLM/Air France!!
I have booked a business class round trip to USA from Milan via call center. As usual the agent tells me the fare condition, I always choose the lower fare that permit changes and cancellation without penalties. I buy the ticket, I fly to US and while I was there I contacted the reservation office to change the return legs and I get the answer that it was not possible. I argued that I paid the "no penalties for changes and cancellation" fare but the agent told me that because the flight are operated by Delta ( ORD-ATL-MXP) I was allowed to change only on the same flights, and the first available was in three days!!! I argued again that I have bought a KLM ticket and I didn't care of the Delta rules! I asked the recalculation for ORD-AMS-MXP or ORD-CDG-MXP. I was first told that they had to call another office and then they would have called me back. I called the day after because none called me, the request was not valid...the day after when I called the agent reissued the ticket but (thanks god I always double check!!!) it was an economy ticket, the day after again they told me there was no chance to change this ticket. A couple of hours before my original flight they called me telling me that they can change to a two hours later flight paying 700 Euro but I was already at the airport!
I spend hours speaking with the agents, it never happened such a mess with them! On top of this I didn't get the miles!! With a 2.900 EUro ticket!
I have almost decided to not fly with them anymore!
