pillows/blankets in domestic coach

I flew on the 763 a few times last week and was surprised to find pillows and blankets available to all pax in coach. I don't think i've seen these in years. I noticed that most pax didn't bother with them and just shoved them into the overhead bins. Would it cost AA much to simply remove these international germ bearing space consuming pieces of junk when they arrive at the gateways internationally? None of the 763's are going intl out of SFO/LAX anyways and wouldn't it be easier to just have a giant inventory of blankets/pillows at ORD/DFW/JFK/MIA and load them only when planes are going out? I also came across them again on a 757 BOS-SFO flight, naturally handed it to the FA to take somewhere else.

for every idiot that complains of not having blankets on board, just have a FA tell the pax the story of how many germs reside on those things and where those blankets have been. After hearing those stories, i'm sure the idiot will thank the FA's for not giving out blankets!
