Thanks...
Hi All -
Thanks for your quick responses.. lots to consider for sure.
The fare has a $400 cancel/change fee, not TOO bad when considering the cost of the ticket. However, one of the things about this option was BA had the best overall connections.
If I cancelled, I would probably rebook on Star Aliance (UAL) and get full credit for the whole trip. Only problem is I am flying with 3 others.
I did look into booking the LAX-LHR option on AA, however, they only have one stop a day and it is a misconnect to the LHR-DEL flight. Total bummer.
The stopover benefit of BA is nice, but not THAT important to me.
So now I guess I have to decide if its better to have just under 25K BA miles, or 20K Alaska (or other partner miles). That seems to be the two main choices from what I gather. Will also check out the miles converter.
Since I have not flown to Europe in over 12 years, and dont have any immediate plans to go back in the future, I dont think its worth keeping them all in BA.
Anyone know if its better to have 25K BA miles, or 20K Alaska miles... which program is easier to use for booking on AA? Does one partner have more access to flights?
Thanks again for the quick responses - greatly appreciated.
