The first thing I do when I get on a phone with CS is ask who I am talking to and write it down.
This allows me to call back and pick up where we left off, if we get disconnected (and dont have to tell another CSR the whole story again). It also just might keep their attitude a bit better knowing I have their name?!? At least I can complain about the right person if it turns out like yours did.
The only time I had a problem like that, I asked to speak to the supervisor and they were worse than the CSR (AOL a few years ago)...
