yeah, you are right, it's a mobile version of the core i7. Intel Core i7 720QM @ 1.60GHz. (Well, it's still a 45w monster, but I think that's half the power of the desktop version.) here's some benchmarks. Dell is also using it in some of it's larger notebooks.

it's not bad for a notebook processor, but as you can see it's nothing compared to the desktop versions of the core i7.
This is more of a desktop replacement rather than a mobile machine for you, right? I'm using a Sony FW like that as well, but it never leaves my house. I have a subnotebook for travel.
