I gotta admit so far my AI experience has been pretty positive.

JFK-BOM-JFK. I flew in last Saturday and I'm currently in the AI lounge in Mumbai waiting for my 1:30am return. I'm flying executive class both ways.

in JFK I walked right up the counter. No cue at all. Staff was very helpful and courteous, especially the baggage handler.

The flight into BOM was uneventful. I wouldn't say the service was spectacular on my flight but I had nothing to complain about. Got my drinks. Brought me food. Responded when called.

Ground staff in BOM was very helpful. The executive/first line had three booths in BOM and only one was occupied. I walked up to the gate agent and started checking in. The other agent who had nothing to do took my passport and filled out my imigration papers for me Then when I asked which way to gates she proceeded to escort me all the way to the imigration line and ushered me into the first class line.

Now the imigration staff in Mumbai well that's another story all together on the complete lack of service, but that's certainly not AI's fault.

Anyhoo, I board in 2.5 hours so we'll see if the return flight is as uneventful.
