I did an IAH-SFO-IAH R/T on 12/31 in the 90's when I was a few EQM's short one year. It was a CO Special for $149 or $199 R/T, as I recall.

Had lunch with Peter Fung at his House of Nan King and then goofed off at the Exploratorium before heading back to SFO for the ride home. I think SFOGate was there that day...

We finished our elite re-qualifications on the outbound leg so it wasn't critical to land in the old year.

The cool part I remember most was seeing all the fireworks displays below you as it gets dark.
