i'm surprised nobody else has asked:

you woke up 1 hr 20 mins before your flight, and were about 15-20 mins from the airport (I assume) and you took the time to shower? couldn't you have done that at your destination and maybe been 15 minutes late for the meeting?

I agree with the rest of the folk - wake up calls are nice, but definitely not reliable. I usually get them as I'm leaving a room.
