Hi all,

I'm heading to Sydney on Dec 30th this year, which means that due to Crazy International Date Line Math, we'll spend NYE in the air over the pacific (or actually not have a NYE at all theoretically). Anyway, just wanted to see if any of you had stories from spending NYE in the air. It will be in the middle of the night when we cross the date line, so I doubt the captain would make an announcement (much less a countdown), but you never know!

We're flying Qantas (J on the A380 so very excited!), so not a CO-specific question, but this is my "home board" so thought you all may have stories you'd like to share.
