1. Have GA's block/rope off "Regular Access"
2. Have a standard boarding announcement:
Good xxxx ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to American Airlines flight 9999, with non-stop service to xxxx. Before I begin boarding our flight today, I would like to aquaint all of you, whether you are one of our very frequent fliers, or a first time flyer (Kettle wanna-be) with our new boarding procedure. Please pay attention. (5-10 seconds of Silence)
In order to speed the boarding process, and assure an on time departure, we have 2 lines-Priority Access and Regular Access.
If your boarding pass has a GROUP NUMBER on it, you will board through the regular access line only, and by group number only.
Before boarding by group number, I will board in the following order: First class, and after a brief wait, followed by EXP and Platinum, followed by a brief wait, and then our Gold, AAir pass, and other Priority Access customers.
When that has been completed, THEN, AND ONLY THEN, will we begin general boarding, and again by group number. Anybody attempting to board before their time, will be asked to stand far to the side until their group is called. Unfortunately, there can be no exeptions (although you DYKWIA will try).
Studies have shown that we will be able get everyone on board the aircraft as much as (insert time here: 5 minutes, 10 minutes, a half hour) quicker using this procedure, so we thank you in advance for your assistance in, once again, boarding ONLY when your particular goup is called, and only through your particular access line.
Thank you for your attention and for flying American Airlines today. I would now like to welcome aboard our First Class passengers.
Just sayin.
