For this portion it is all Thai. We fly from PVG-BKK-HKT (Thai) on the 14th and then leave from HKT-BKK-HKG-YYZ on the 23rd. In between we decided to go to CNX and that is the second ticket. Classes are J on the main legs and Y for the HKT-BKK-CNX and CNX-HKT portions.
The tickets were booked this way because we maxed out our stopovers on the way with time in both OGG and PVG and making HKT a stopover on the return (I think technically? But not important) So when we decided we'd like to see more of Thailand I got the other award.
At the end of the day I was trying to avoid the $360 in change fees but I am also concerned as was noted by another post that the change may create an illegal open jaw anyway.
Oh well - maybe just have to bite the bullet and make the stopover.
With it being mentioned a couple of times that no-showing a leg would cancel the remainder what happens in the event of an actual missed leg due to a late cnx or something?
Thanks for all the input. Writing from the gorgeous Le Royal Club Lounge in PVG - what a great spot - highly recommended hotel!
