It depends. I flew Midwest to LGA last week and the seats were farily roomy, my carryon went into the overhead, and there was a First Class section. Flew DL coming home and none of the above was true. As an AA Plat (soon to drop down to Gold), I hate them because upgrades are useless. My usual route is MCI-ORD-HPN and the longer leg, ORD-HPN, is on the RJ. That may be all HPN can handle, I don't know. I also suspect they get delayed/grounded more often when the weather is bad because they're a little more vulnerable and you have fewer "misconnected" pax if you delay an RJ and let the real planes take off.
