The fact the CBP noted comments on your PNR is icing on the cake, and not a product of some conspiracy.
None of this would have happened had you shown up on-time. The issue is that you showed up late and got confrontational with the check-in folks, plain and simple.
I guess my sincere effort to stick to the facts at hand didn't seem to work, hope you enjoyed the "Flame". You are correct, it is entirely plausable that it was simply the PNR that got noticed, it is also not unreasonable to think that it was the staff getting proactive. I for one do not wish the front line staff at the airport to have this power over passengers they do not care for, for any reason whatsoever. My original post was simply a request to those more informed than I.
Notwithstanding what happened, if I was an airline employee behind the counter I likely would have done whatever I could to stick it to a rude or abusive passenger. However it is not in the best interest of the airline to allow the front line staff to have the power as they both have different agendas. As a small business owner I would in no way allow any staff to have the power to run off someone who is likely in the top 5% of my customers.
