For the former, seats show in the "passenger information" section. For Aeroplan tickets, if you go one step further, to "view itinerary/receipt, then you end up with the same situation, seat assignments showing in the "passenger information" section.
AE awards in my case. I know to go to the second screen (view itin/receipt) to see the ticket number and seats. That is where the actual seat numbers assigned have vanished and only the flight number now appears. You still see your seat assignments when you have your itinerary e-mailed to you.
This is an example of what now displays in the seat selection field...
