Planning to spend a few days in Switzerland between Christmas to New Years timeframe. Looking for a hotel with good view of Alps and/or lake. Do not necessarily have to be in Vaud region but found a couple of options in the area - Fairmont Montreux, Beau Rivage Palace Laussane. Both hotels claim to have rooms with excellent views.

Any insights on the above or suggestions for other properties with good views even in different part of the country will be greatly appreciated.
