For the former, seats show in the "passenger information" section. For Aeroplan tickets, if you go one step further, to "view itinerary/receipt, then you end up with the same situation, seat assignments showing in the "passenger information" section.
My last 2 revenue tickets did not show seating. However, seating was assigned and the seats were the one's requested. A call to the SE desk confirmed the seating.
When did you last view your seating in this manner? My last revenue ticket was a few weeks ago and at that time it was the situation described.
