OP, quit your whining. You booked a flight, got your upgrade (I am assuming) and then changed, negating your upgrade opportunity.
I have had many upgrades and then done a SDC which resulted in a coach class seat, sometimes in the middle seat in the back of the bus. Guess what, I don't care. It was my choice and the chance to go home sooner out-weighs my want / need to sit in a bigger seat for a few hours.
