That's because PPlus CC holders don't use their PPlus CC to enter clubs, they get a regular PClub Member card for access, so you can't tell by casual observance who is a paid PClub member or a PPlus Club Member.
Some of us have both. I'll use my amex to enter to give CO a few more $. I use my P Club card when I need access to the airport for meetings, etc. It works for me having both.
