Why not get an "address of convenience?"
I didn't have a true home address for several years, spending most of my time living in Asian hotels. However, I maintained a mail drop in the U.S. to avoid confusing (or scaring) various existing and potential creditors. Although I don't have any proof, I felt like having a U.S. address made it a lot easier to get and maintain various banking and credit relationships (I am a U.S. citizen).
Would you want to extend credit to a guy who said he made a lot of money and didn't have a home-- just send the bills to a small hotel in rural Indonesia?
