I'm flying into San Juan with wife and baby on JetBlue at 1pm, and my parents are flying out at 2:45 on American. I'd make them really happy if they got grandchild time at this chance encounter. But I've never been to SJU to scout it.

My understanding is that JetBlue is terminal C, while American is terminal D. The maps I can find imply these are connected, but I can't find a good one. Two questions:

1) Are Terminals C and D in the same security zone, so we can meet behind security?

2) Assuming the answer is yes, then do people have any recommendation for a meeting location, probably a restaurant or bar?
