Seat assignment when no seats showing available...
So here's a question. Last week I used points to book two seats on a flight that sets forth this Friday. No seats were assigned at the time of the points booking. Friends of ours did the same for the same flight (they have no status) and were not allocated seats either. At this time, the flight is showing full in economy and wide open in J. How will Air Canada assign seats on Friday? Who, among any type of passenger holding tickets for this flight, receives priority? (I'd have imagined that revenue ticket holders would have priority but I've heard others saying that points passengers do.) Can anyone provide some clarification?
