Hmm, hadn't thought of tent patching kits, I'll have to give it a try. I think we lost all the luggage stores in the area, but there's certainly plenty of sporting goods ones.

Something like Mighty Mendit I don't think will work without a patch to put on over the top, there just wouldn't be enough surface area along the cut to stick together again I think (no overlap of the material).
