The above experiences definetely differ from mine.
I've been Amex Gold since-94, Platinum since -97 and Centurion since -99.
I have yet to be stopped from having any amount acceptede (Largest single so far approx. GBP 10,000.-), and my bank account balance does not necessarily show the funds readily available to foot this month's bill. Maybe it's because I pay by Direct Debit?
