Actually, no, they won't.

AA has traditionally offered a bit of wiggle room for re-qualification. However, they *will not* make this decision over the phone nor will they make the decision prior to Dec. 31. They will make it in early January and if they decide that they won't provide a 100 mile, then the OP is out of luck. AA has offered 2 very generous re-qualification incentives, specifically to get people on their planes - and that is the only way for the OP to be sure to requalify.
