Actually, only fare classes W and U don't accumulate miles. The next fare class, T, does, but you pay a premium. Besides, if the Mabuhay Class section is empty, I think the flight attendants will allow you to change seats. If they allow you to do so in a light cabin in Y, I don't see why they won't allow you to do so in J.
