One thing to consider
With the US Military presence in Okinawa and the fact that Marriott is a "Western" hotel chain, you should probably expect availability to be limited throughout the year. I was stationed in Oki and also worked there on temporary duty and while there we stayed at the Marriott on the government rate. Never really tried to book personal travel there as I spent more then enough of my time on that Island. Good luck!
