We are sitting waiting for afternoon tea to be served again then I will head off to LHR for my flight so here is my views of the ICPLCI!

Location on the 7th floor is very nice with views to the South. You can watch all the LHR traffic on Westerly arrivals but despite gazing skyward I am still waiting for my very own A380 flypast! You can see Battersea Power Station to the South and Big Ben over to the East. The lounge is spacious with a mix of sofa and chair seating and it is cosy enough to spend a few hours in.

Afternoon Tea was a selection of sandwiches, Ham/Mustard, Egg Mayo, Salmon and Cucumber. Some scones and cake too but I found the scones dry. They must have been from the previous day as it was a Sunday. The tea selection, as mentioned, is excellent and I recommend you try a few of the more unusual teas with your afternoon tea.

Evening drinks from 5.30-7.30 was pleasant. It is a table service with a nice selection of wine and spirits. No cocktails, I thought I read somewhere that they served cocktails. We got through 4 or 5 glasses of bubbly (Moet) and at the last moment I popped up and helped myself to a Bloody Mary for when my last glass of bubbly was empty. Food is a "Tasting Plate" which, though not a substiture for an evening meal, was quite delicious. Curried King Prawn, seared beef cube, pate on crisp toast and a shrimp/crayfish on bread. Small portions but server was happy to offer another tray and we could easily have asked for more if we wanted. The serve yourself cheese range was delicious so we had a table of cheese and biscuits, some olives and crisps. Plenty to keep us going till later in the night.

Breakfast was wonderful. Range of cereals, cheses, cold meats and a menu of breakfast items such as Eggs Benedict, Full English with eggs cooked to your liking, omelette, Waffles and syrup, American Pancakes. I had the full English with poached eggs. Eggs were cooked perfectly though the beans in the ramakin were cold. Still all very tasty. I also ordered American Pancakes meaning to have them as a side with the full english but they were served with banana, blackberries and strawberries and syrup and cream so they ended up being a breakfast desert! Very tasty! I enjoy buffet breakfasts but could quite happily spend a few days trying the different breakfast options.

Just waiting for my cheeky free high tea then will head off to LHR and roll in to the F lounge for my own personal happy hour!
