Doesn't help out the OP... but here's my examples of routing thru/to Hawaii using the lower 48 [Note, not very economical unless using a companion cert]

2008: ANC-PDX-SEA-OGG/OGG-SEA-LAX-ANC

2009: ANC-OGG*HNL-SEA/SEA-PDX-OGG-ANC

*OGG-HNL operated by MW (now absorbed by YV)
