I have never seen .bomb offer a QF through fare - certainly not the Australian .bomb. And I think I read somewhere that the DJ codeshares are no more.

I always use a TA and make them secure the through-fare (and despite using the same TA each time I get the "oh you can't do that because QF and UA are in different alliances" )

There was a time, in the post-Ansett collapse that I could get a fare from BNE through SYD to the USA for the same price as the SYD-USA ticket, or sometimes for only $100 or $150 more.
